Stepping into the Light: How We Built Immersive Exhibition Tunnels for Lumishore’s Underwater LEDs
At Exhibition Plinths, we thrive on bringing unique visions to life. So, when Lumishore, a global leader in high-performance underwater LED boat lights, approached us with an extraordinary request, we were thrilled to take on the challenge. Their goal? To create two bespoke, immersive walk-through tunnels for their exhibitions – a truly innovative way to showcase the dazzling power and beauty of their underwater lighting systems.
From Sketch to Spectacle: The Concept Takes Shape
Lumishore’s concept was clear: they wanted visitors to experience their lights as if they were actually underwater, surrounded by the vibrant, dynamic illumination. This meant designing tunnels that would not only house the lights but also transport people into a captivating, aquatic environment.
Our journey began with the initial Sketchup concept designs. This crucial phase allowed us to translate Lumishore’s vision into tangible blueprints. We meticulously planned every detail, from the tunnel’s dimensions and material choices to the optimal placement of the Lumishore LEDs for maximum impact. The goal was to create a truly immersive experience, where the interplay of light and shadow would mimic the mesmerizing depths of the ocean.
Bringing the Vision to Life: Construction and Installation
Once the designs were approved, our team got to work. Building these tunnels was no small feat! It required precision engineering and careful craftsmanship to ensure they were robust, portable for exhibition use, and, most importantly, capable of housing Lumishore’s advanced lighting technology securely and effectively. We focused on creating a seamless environment that would disappear, allowing the lights themselves to be the star of the show
